SIM Men's Dragonboat Team beat reigning champions NTU for the 1st time, breaking the decade long record won by NTU and NUS only.

For years, the annual Prime Minister's Cup has been dominated by NTU and NUS. As a layman, I honestly never heard of SIM's dragonboat. Not until today.
I watched the above video 5 times, and I am still in awe of what Team SIM did. In short, they came from a long way behind, and nailed the competition by a mere 1 second.
Again, I know completely nothing about Dragonboat, so I will probably leave it to Gary to explain the technicalities during next practice. But I did learn one thing from this video:
You may think that you are already running very fast in a race. But if somebody outpaces you (regardless of how they do it), you might never be able to catch up ever again.
And I am not fabricating a story. This video is as real as it gets. This actually happened in real life!
With reference to cheerleading only: I will agree with some that winning is not everything. But I never like the reason of losing because of my own complacency. Please bear this in mind.
And as we are all atheletics, let us learn from the champions of the Prime Minister's cup 2010 on how they made history:
