Upholding the spirit as a Wildcard!

NTU HO 2011 has definitely marked a milestone for Wildcards. Besides sharing our techniques, we also shared our education. This is a new beginning, and I sincerely hope Wildcards can continue to contribute to the cheer industry for many years to come!

Wildcards - HO Coaching Team

Coach Vince: Hall 13 Team Spectrum (2nd runner ups)
Vincent did not have time and resources to teach difficult tosses or fancy pyramids, but this did not stop him from creating a routine that won the audience's + judges appreciation! Sharpness and precision are the fundamentals of creating a great routine. Vincent has done it with Team Spectrum!

Coach Zhiliang - Hall 7 Team Se7en (Champions)
Zhiliang was hired as a technical coach by Hall 7 and he made what I thought was impossible happen - Hall 7's winning pyramid. ZL has to travel very far to coach hall 7 but he has nonetheless shown the dedication and capability of producing a winning routine.

Coach Gary: NTU Hall 3 (4th placing)
This is Gary's first time coaching a HO team, and Gary did well! Hall 3 was down with a serious injury T -2 days before the competition, but that did not stop Gary from changing the entire routine in less than 12 hours. Gary has shown that besides being a strong team player, he is capable of coaching the next generation of cheerleaders as well!

Wildcards - HO Cheerleaders

Jaslyn - NTU Hall 3 (4th placing)
This is Jaslyn's 3rd season as a Wildcard and her 2nd season as a Hall 3 flyer. And she is our favorite flyer of the competition!

Gerard - Hall 13 Team Spectrum (2nd runner up)
This is Gerard's first season as a Wildcard and his 3rd season as a Hall 13 cheerleader. Gerard has demonstrated that receptiveness and perseverance are both essential to produce a great cheerleader!

Yanheng - Hall 13 Team Spectrum (2nd runner up)
This is Yanheng's first season as a Wildcard and his 2nd season as a Hall 13 cheerleader. Yanheng is definitely one of the most hardworking cheerleaders I have met. His efforts have definitely paid off during HO!

Hann bin (in red) - Hall 2 Team Awesome
This is Hann Bin's first season as a Wildcard and his first season as a HO cheerleader. Hann Bin remains as Wildcards's newest member. With less than 1 year of training, he has already blended in with the big boys. HB is also the only cheerleader who did a front hands spring, round off, x-out star during HO. You are simply zai!

Cheerleading is a sport that requires sacrifice. And it is with this sacrifice that we learn to appreciate our team mates and the beauty of the Sport!

*CR's note: Shihua has promised to return to Hall 3 next season to continue where she last left off.
