Wildcards X Alpha Verve Exchange!

Hi there everyone!



          This morning, the Wildcards headed over to NUS U-Town early in the morning because we were having an exchange with NUS Alpha Verve! Even though it was an early morning event, everyone was early because we know that it would be an exchange filled with fun! Once we gathered onto the mats, we started off with introductions of every member from both teams and then we moved on to games to break the ice even further!

          Alpha came up with a game that was unique as we had to compare the members from each team according to the specific "selling points" they had.

          However, since we lost 3 out of 4 rounds, Alpha prepared a special forfeit for us! The forfeit was special indeed because one of their members is also a salsa dance coach and therefore, Wildcards had to learn how to Salsa! Unfortunately we did not video our salsa dance because we were having too much fun dancing(especially the camera-man hehe)!

          After the ice breaker games, we moved on to warm-ups, gymnastics and stretching! Also, we did some light body conditioning as well to further warm up those muscles!

          After the warm-ups and conditioning, we proceeded on with group stunts and basket tosses! We were spread into groups with both Wildcards and Alpha Verve members in each group and boy we had a blast getting to know one another and stunting with them! Although some of the bases and flyers from Alpha Verve were new, it did not stop them from trying out the stunts!

          Our last segment for the day was partner stunts and we have our senior member and upcoming coach, Winston to teach us the techniques and fundamentals of executing partner stunts correctly!

         
          What is an exchange without the tradition of exchanging team t-shirts?

          Lastly, a group photo to end off the exchange! We would like to thank Alpha Verve for having us over and for being an awesome host for this exchange! We hope each and everyone of us learnt something new through this exchange and let us continue to work even harder!
