japan raiders

Monday, June 21, 2010

hello hello, please take a look at the above routine by Raiders. they won both the all girls category and the overall champion, with scores of 270+ and 260+ (despite the wobbles and the stunt falls) on both days.

they sent their 3 group stunts groups to take part in the group stunting category and came in 1st, 2nd and 4th (if I didnt remember wrongly again) too.

If you have been following BRAVES since 2007, you will notice a very distinct trend in their routine. Even their music has the same flow!

Wildcards: Homework before this Saturday's training

1) Count how much
time they have in between transitions
2) Count how many + type of
basket tosses they do per routine
3) Count how many
top flyers they put in a pyramid
4) Count how many
pyramids + transitions in a routine. Comment in particular how they execute/transit the pyramids as well.
5) Count how many
partner stunts they do in a routine
6) Observe what
type of dismounts they use in a routine.
7) Observe when/how many stationary and running
gymnastics executed.
8) How fast do they take to do their
arm motions.
9) What type of
jumps do they do.

My take is very simple. If you want to be a champion, you learn from the champions. And you train like one as well! Jiayou!

Official Results

First - CMIT (Chinese Taipei)

Basket toss
- 4 x-outs and 3 layout double fulls with good height.
Jumps and tumbling
- Full squad back handspring.
- Nice :)
Group stunt
- is good, but adding in a stretch to stretch would have perfected it.
Partner stunts
- Should have done heel stretch or scorpion for their partner stunts instead of just a full up ext.
Pyramids
- Mid tier for the swedish fall ( 2.37min the one on the right ) did a good job in keeping the stunt up.
- Lack of bigger pyramids.

Second - TPEC (Chinese Taipei)
No video.

Third - Vanquish (Thailand)

Basket toss
- Able to execute at least 2 elements (x out, layout double full)
Pyramids
- Have big pyramids such as 225 and 334.
- Used guy mid-tiers.
Jumps and tumbling
- Needs to improve.
- But able to do 3 elements (robhsbhs)
Group stunt
- Quite wobbly but flyers are flexible.
Partner stunts
- Not bad and its quite stable.

Overall, there is good flow throughout the routine.
