shoe orders for 2008

Most of you might not know that Wildcards actually started by chance because students from ACJC then could not set up cheerleading in their own JC and approached UPCC instead. Jane (centre pic), who was my former student from SAJC, then approached me to start up cheer at Ulu Pandan CC. Subsequently, I approached Zhiliang, who was aimless (and jobless) at that point of time and asked if he was keen to take the job. We met up with Dominic once, settled all the paper work and the rest is history.

Our very first training had 9 ppl. 4 bases. 5 flyers. that was all we had. Back then, we only ordered 40 mats because we honestly thought that this will be a very small team.

Anticlockwise from top right hand corner: Zhiliang, Ivan, Chaang, Huishan, Kahau, Charis, Nellie, Jiahui

Our culture of partner stunting actually started because... we didn't have sufficient bases to do anything else! With only 4 bases back then, we could only do elevator pops.. and more elevator pops. So when we got tired of doing elevators, we started doing toss to hands. This was how everything started.

Wildcards today is now a team of 25 strong, and looking to break more barriars for many years to come. While we continue to strive forward, let us not forget those who came before us.
We are here today because of all of them.

Always remember to cheer for those, who cheer for you!
