Wildcards went to Kukup, Pontian District, Johor, Malaysia on the 18-19th June 2016 for our 4th traditional annual kukup trip. Im sure it was a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone, because I felt like I had the wildest time there! The attendees of the trip included active members, alumni, and a new addition to this year, mildcards members as well~
Here are some photos of the trip!!
A group photo of most of the members who went this year! The rest chose the option of enjoying a chill fishing life.
If you guys are wondering what bikes are those, we rented 15 electric bikes for the team to explore kukup and also for some Fast and Furious style street racing. Dont worry, its all safe. :)
Our street racing crew
During our jungle exploration mission, we came across many cows. However, none of us dared to go near the ferocious bovines. Luckily, we have a brave commando officer, Clinton Chua Ming Kian, as our captain and not only did he calm the cows down, he exerted his dominance by offering a hug to the cow. The cow submitted to Clinton as it could sense the insane amount of testosterone flowing in Clinton's blood. He had earned our respect and envy just by that simple display of how alpha and manly he is.
On our way back from the jungle exploration mission, we bumped into two road hoggers. However, despite them hogging the road, they were extremely aesthetic. AF.
Our lunch was on the table for barely 30 seconds, I guess the cows were not the only beasts in kukup at that time.
On our last night, we played with firecrackers, fireworks and lighted lanterns (kong ming deng) with our wishes written on them. Above are some photos of what we wrote on the lanterns and us playing with the fireworks.
Overall, it was a fun and fruitful bonding trip for the team. I'm pretty sure everyone would definitely remember Vincent's amazing save for his electric bike; unfortunately while saving his bike from the deep waters, he failed to save himself from falling. We will also remember how fun it was to throw small pop pops on the mudskippers just to see them jump (I'm sorry, we are inhumane cos we have beasts on this trip) and lighting firecrackers into the waters at night to scare the fishes. (yes, we are indeed inhumane). we will be looking forward to next year's kukup trip, hopefully with more new members to join us!
